"I didn't meet Grace until I was past 20 weeks. If only I had had her the entire time! Long story short, I had desperately wanted a home birth as my prior two hospital births were not great (birth plans were ignored, many interventions, difficult recoveries, stressed and not-as-healthy babies, etc.) but wasn't sure it would work out this time. I was expressing my many concerns to a like-minded doula who then referred me to Grace. My expectations were blown out of the water with Grace! Not only was she a consistently peaceful presence in a stressful (up til that point) pregnancy, but she fully listened and acknowledged my concerns from prenatal to postpartum. We were able to actually discuss potential solutions, suggestions, and alternatives, rather than jumping to conclusions or pushing treatment I was uncomfortable with. She delivered true comprehensive, holistic care by viewing the whole picture. My labor was insanely fast, but Grace rolled with it like everyone goes from 0-60!
My son is not only healthy and happy, he was born with no interventions and my recovery was a thousand times better. My husband told me afterward he was hoping I wouldn't choose home birth, but now is a huge advocate for it thanks to our experience with Grace. She has blessed our whole family beyond anything we could have hoped for."
